LAURA JANE LAUGHLIN

Born in Derry, Laura Jane has worked extensively  in theatre, television, film and radio. She is a graduate of the actor training programme, Trinity College Dublin.

In theatre, she starred opposite Tom Courtenay in The Gate Theatre production of The Home Place by Brian Friel, a production that transferred to the Comedy Theatre in London’s West end. 

In Television she has starred opposite Natalie Dormer and Jonathan Rhys Meyers as Madge Sheldon in showtime’s hit series The Tudors.

She was most recently seen in THE ICE CREAM GIRLS for Left bank pictures/Itv.

Other television and film work includes AMBER (Screenworks/RTE), SMALL ISLAND (BBC), WHISTLEBLOWER (Saffron Pictures/RTE), LEGEND (Icebox Films/RTE), MURPHY’S LAW (BBC), STARDUST (Merlin Films/RTE), PULLING MOVES (BBC), OMAGH (Element Films/Channel 4) and THE FRONT LINE (Wideeyed films/Buena Vista).

Other theatre credits include THE CRUCIBLE, A MONTH IN THE COUNTRY(Abbey Theatre), PYGMALION(Gate Theatre,Dublin), LEAVING(Quare Hawks) THE GOLDEN APPLE (The Ark) and MACBETH(Belfast Lyric Theatre)

She has also recorded several radio plays for RTE and has voiced many a radio and television commercial on a national and international scale.
